Ugandans Welcome Training in Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani

According to the Public Relations Office of the International Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation, the International Federation organized an official training course in Uganda as part of its ongoing efforts to expand and promote this authentic cultural heritage throughout the African continent.

As part of the program, Mr. Mousavi, appointed as the Federation's official instructor, conducted training sessions at a sports camp, where he introduced participants to the fundamental principles, techniques, and traditions of Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani.

The program was attended by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uganda and the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy. During the event, Mr. Mousavi, together with the Ambassador and the Cultural Attaché, demonstrated traditional warm-up exercises and the fundamental rituals of Zurkhaneh Sport, which were warmly welcomed by the participants.

A group of Ugandan athletes also actively participated in the workshop, receiving practical instruction on the sport's training methods, technical foundations, and the ethical principles of Pahlevani (chivalry, honor, and sportsmanship).

The President of the Uganda National Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation also attended the ceremony. He expressed his appreciation for the continued support of the International Federation and described the development of the sport in Uganda as an important step toward strengthening sports and cultural relations between the two countries.

The organization of this training course forms part of the International Federation's broader development strategy to expand Zurkhaneh Sports across African nations. The initiative aims to train local practitioners, develop future coaches, and further strengthen the cultural diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran through the promotion of this unique traditional sport.
