Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Asian Championships Appointed

According to the Public Relations Office of the International Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation (IZSF), Mr. Rahmani, Governor of West Azerbaijan Province, has been appointed by the Minister of Sports and Youth of the Islamic Republic of Iran as Chairman of the Executive Committee for the 7th International and Asian Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Championships (Urmia 2025).

On the same occasion, the official poster for the Championships was unveiled during a ceremony attended by a number of national and provincial officials. Among those present were Dr. Mitra Rouhi, Secretary General of the International Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation (IZSF); Dr. Amiari, Acting President of the Iran Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation; Mr. Beirami, Director General of Sports and Youth of West Azerbaijan Province; together with other distinguished guests and officials.

The International Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation (IZSF), in close cooperation with national and local authorities, is making comprehensive preparations to organise this prestigious sporting event in Urmia in 2025. The Championships are expected to play a significant role in promoting and advancing the values of Pahlavani culture and the traditional disciplines of Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani across Asia and the international sporting community.
