According to the public relations report of the International Federation of Powerlifting and Wrestling, the election assembly of the National Olympic Committee was held. At the beginning of the voting process of this assembly, 53 members including 28 Olympians and 25 non-Olympians were present.
After the counting of votes out of the total of 53 votes, Khosravi Wafa got 24 votes, Ali Nejad got 24 votes and Bagherzadeh got 5 votes and the election was canceled due to not getting the absolute maximum number of votes by one candidate. The second was drawn.
In the second round of voting, two more non-Olympic members were added to the assembly and the number of members reached 55.
At the end of voting, out of 55 votes, Khosravi Wafa got 28 votes and Ali Nejad got 27 votes. In this way, Mahmoud Khosravi Wafa, the current head of Iran's National Paralympic Committee, was elected as the head of the National Olympic Committee for four years. Mehdi Ali Nejad, Mahmoud Khosravi Wafa, Fazlullah Bagherzadeh and Majid Shaishte was a candidate who withdrew before the start of the elections.
