Zurkhaneh Sports Training Course Held in Lithuania

According to the Public Relations Office of the International Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation, as part of its international development programs for Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani, Khayam Orujov, an instructor of the International Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation, conducted a specialized seminar and training course for the Lithuanian National Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Team in the city of Šiauliai, from 4–7 December 2025.

The training course was organized to enhance the athletes' technical knowledge, introduce the specialized principles of Zurkhaneh Sports, and promote the cultural traditions, ethical values, and Pahlevani (chivalry and sportsmanship) philosophy that define this unique discipline. The program received a positive response from both the members of the Lithuanian national team and its coaching staff.

As part of the same development initiative, Khayam Orujov also presented a live demonstration of the traditional movements and rituals of Zurkhaneh Sports during the World Belt Wrestling Championships, held on 7 December 2025 in Kaunas, Lithuania. The performance served as an opportunity to introduce and promote this authentic Iranian sport to an international audience.

These activities were carried out within the framework of the International Federation's strategy to strengthen sports and cultural diplomacy. The programs played an important role in promoting Iran's rich sporting and cultural heritage while expanding international awareness and appreciation of Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani.
