Technical and Educational Session on Koshti Pahlavani Held During the World Nomad Games

On the sidelines of the World Nomad Games in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan, an educational and technical session on Koshti Pahlavani (Pahlavani Wrestling) was held in the presence of Dr. Mitra Rouhi, Acting Secretary General of IZSF, members of the Technical Committee, international Koshti Pahlavani instructors, and a number of coaches and athletes.

The session was held on 2 September 2026, from 20:00 to 22:00, in the conference hall at the competition venue.

At the beginning of the session, Dr. Rouhi welcomed the participating coaches, athletes and instructors and provided an introduction to Koshti Pahlavani, highlighting its position and importance. She emphasised the need to promote and develop Koshti Pahlavani internationally, while also preserving and promoting the ethical and cultural values associated with the discipline.

The members of the Technical Committee and international instructors then delivered educational and technical presentations, explaining key aspects of the rules and regulations, techniques, and proper procedures for organising and conducting Koshti Pahlavani competitions.

The participating coaches and athletes also raised their questions and shared their views. Various technical and operational matters were discussed and exchanged with the instructors and members of the Technical Committee.

The session was organised with the aim of enhancing the technical knowledge of coaches and athletes, promoting greater consistency in the implementation of rules and regulations, and further developing and introducing Koshti Pahlavani at the international level.

The meeting concluded in a professional, constructive and collaborative atmosphere.
