According to the Public Relations Office of the International Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation (IZSF), the 20th Executive Committee Meeting of the Federation was held with the participation of Executive Committee members to review the Federation's achievements, assess ongoing programmes, and determine strategic priorities for the continued global development of Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani.

Opening the meeting, Dr. Mohsen Mehralizadeh, President of the International Federation, warmly welcomed the participants and stated:

"It is my great honour to welcome you to the Twentieth Executive Committee Meeting of IZSF. I sincerely thank each of you for your unwavering commitment to promoting and developing Zurkhaneh Sports and the noble traditions of Pahlavani throughout the world."

Dr. Mehralizadeh then presented a comprehensive report on the outcomes of the 17th and 18th Executive Committee Meetings, highlighting the Federation's continued progress.

Referring to the 17th Executive Committee Meeting, held virtually in September 2024, he stated:

"The Seventeenth Executive Committee Meeting, conducted online in September 2024, represented an important milestone in the Federation's development. Despite being held virtually, it was highly productive and clearly demonstrated the unity and commitment of our Executive Committee members. The meeting focused on the progress of our member federations, the implementation of the Federation's 2024 development programmes, and the adoption of resolutions aimed at strengthening international cooperation. These decisions established a strong foundation for our future development initiatives."

Speaking about the 18th Executive Committee Meeting, held in person in February 2025, Dr. Mehralizadeh added:

"The Eighteenth Executive Committee Meeting marked the return to face-to-face collaboration among our members. It provided an excellent opportunity to review the implementation of previous decisions, approve new membership applications, and formulate the Federation's strategic plans for 2025 and beyond. The meeting also focused on preparations for regional and world championships, educational workshops, and initiatives designed to encourage greater youth participation in Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani."

Highlighting the Federation's achievements, he remarked:

"I am pleased to announce that a significant number of the resolutions adopted during our previous two meetings have now been successfully implemented. These collective efforts have resulted in new international partnerships, the organisation of educational and cultural events, and increased global recognition of Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani."

During the meeting, Dr. Mitra Rouhi, Secretary General of IZSF, also addressed the Executive Committee, stating:

"I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to all Executive Committee members, committees, and our valued partners whose dedication has contributed to the success of our meetings and the implementation of our ongoing projects. I am confident that through our continued cooperation, the Federation will maintain its path of growth and excellence and will inspire future generations around the world."

In another part of the meeting, Mr. Samrat Singh, Chairman of the International Relations Department of IZSF, highlighted the strong unity of the global IZSF family and the Federation's commitment to maintaining regular online meetings even during the post-pandemic period. He announced:

"I am proud to confirm that the 5th World Cup of Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani will be held in India during 2025–2026. Furthermore, the 6th European Championships will be hosted by Armenia, while the African Championships will be organised in either Tanzania or Zimbabwe."

The meeting concluded with constructive discussions on the Federation's future strategies, the organisation of upcoming international events, and long-term plans to further expand the global presence of Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani, reaffirming IZSF's commitment to preserving and promoting this unique cultural and sporting heritage worldwide.
