Emphasis on the Global Development of Zurkhaneh Sports in the Meeting Between the President of the International Federation and the Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution

According to the Public Relations Office of the International Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation, during an official meeting, Dr. Mohsen Mehralizadeh, President of the International Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation, met with Dr. Abdolhossein Khosropanah, Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution. During the meeting, Dr. Mehralizadeh presented a comprehensive report on the establishment of the International Federation, formed in accordance with the directive of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and outlined its structural development across different continents.

Referring to the Federation's expanding activities in Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America, he described the development of Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani as an effective means of strengthening cultural exchanges and promoting the authentic values of Pahlevani (chivalry, honor, and sportsmanship).

During the meeting, the Federation's achievements in organizing World and Continental Championships were highlighted. These events have played a significant role in enhancing the technical standards of athletes while contributing to the advancement of international sports diplomacy. A report was also presented on the Federation's continuous organization of international coaching and refereeing courses, through which dozens of coaches and referees from various countries have been educated and certified.

Another key topic of discussion was the Federation's strategic plan to train and certify international instructors and Mursheds (traditional Zurkhaneh masters). These programs are designed to transfer specialized knowledge while promoting the ethics, traditions, and cultural heritage of Pahlevani within the Federation's educational system.

Dr. Abdolhossein Khosropanah emphasized the cultural and educational dimensions of Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani, describing them as an effective instrument for strengthening national identity, educating younger generations, and enhancing Iran's cultural standing on the international stage.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants stressed the importance of comprehensive support from government authorities and national institutions in realizing the Supreme Leader's vision of expanding these traditional sports throughout Asia and ultimately achieving Olympic recognition.

The meeting concluded with Dr. Mitra Rouhi, Acting Secretary General of the International Federation, and Dr. Mehrali Barancheshmeh, President of the National Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani Federation, presenting their expert perspectives on the future direction of the sport and the challenges that must be addressed to support its continued global development.
